About the Site

Captured Fragments is a graphics site for visitors. It is currently very small, but I try to keep adding to it. Right now it includes graphics and layouts featuring anime, manga, and Japanese Pop and Rock artists and bands. The name came from just putting words together because I was creating a new site for my past layouts. But, that site was dying and I did not want to waste the site's name. So, I decided to change Illimitable Designs to Captured Fragments since Illimitable started to sound lame to me, and picking out for fonts for the "I" is hard.

The site started on August 17th, 2005. =) There's not much about the site now. As of August 30th, 2005, I have decided to add wallpapers for visitors. More changes to the site, I have added avatars, textures, and winamp skins!

Site History

All about the past of Captured Fragments...(and all the other graphics sites I made)

The Very Beginning...
My first graphics site started in Geocities under the name Kawaii Star Designs. It did not have much content I changed hosts because Geocities had lots of ads and a limited amount of space. I moved to Bravenet's free web hosting (It did not have ads at that time). So, I packed up KSD and moved over there. As I was updating the site, I saw there were really big banner ads at Bravenet, which made my layouts look very, very ugly.

A Big Move...
I decided to find a new host. I saw Brinkster and immediately moved there on April 18, 2002. The account of Brinkster was suppose to be for KSD, but I thought of a name change. I came up with, Wing Designs and started out at Brinkster until May 3rd, 2002, then moved (because Brinkster did not have a lot of space. It was still very, very good) to Fateback. It was a great host, but with many limited features. Then, WD was hosted by the kind Ivy of Melted-Kiss.net, but I had problems with the FTP and moved to, Hakkai.net with Ray.

Lots of Change...
Later, Wing Designs changed its name to Seigaku Graphics because Wing Designs seem too uncreative and I started not liking it. So I decided to get a new name. My current anime obsession was, Gravitation and Prince of Tennis. I decided on: Ryu Designs, Faded Future, Nanjaroh Hoi Hoi, Keep Your Style and Seigaku Designs. I found out that Ryu Designs was already made, Faded Future was "eh" and Nanjaroh Hoi Hoi was pretty much what I wanted but I had no clue what it meant, All I knew was, it is Eiji Kikumaru's favorite saying. Then, Keep Your Style, I liked it very much but...it's pretty long. Finally Seigaku Designs, it was cool because I loved everyone in that team of Tennis no Oujisama. But the word "designs" didn't really "fit" it, so I changed it to "graphics" which, to me, sounds better. So, starting from January 31st, 2003, Seigaku Graphics lived!

Another Name Change...
On October 17th, 2003, Seigaku Graphics changed to a layouts and winamp skins site with graphics request. I became very fond of making winamp skins. I was getting bored with making avatars, buttons and banners. Instead, visitors were able to request those graphics. On March 12th, 2004, I decided for a change. Seigaku Graphics was barely being updated and lacked many things. I changed the site's name to Aelyx Designs because it sounded nice. Plus it went with my offline TCG site, Aelyx Fayten). Since the name changed, I decided to delete many old, ugly layouts and to upload some clean, nicer ones.

Gone Forever...?
Around the year 2004, I decided to close Aelyx Designs due to the fact that I rarely updated and my graphics were not exactly extremely good-looking. I thought I would take a break from the designing world and focus on other sites. But, I could not help myself. After browsing a lot of graphics sites, I decided I wanted a graphics site again. Then, on August 17th, 2005, I decided to make a "comeback" after tuning my skills. I built a new site hosted on Unfading-Scar. I started Illimitable Designs, which mainly offered layouts and avatars.

The Fresh, New Start...
On May 26th, 2007, I decided to change Illimitable Designs's name to Captured Fragments. I really liked the name and felt Illimitable Designs needed a change. However, to this day, it is the same small graphics site just with a new identity.
